Haunted 218

The Association for Campus Entertainment hosted a Haunted House in the Charger Union. The Themed Entertainment Association and I designed and decorated the space to create a themed haunted house experience
The original plan was to create a haunted house experience in the Charger Union for students. There were a total of 4 room ideas, one for each room in the Charger Union. The room themes were Dracula, Scooby Doo, Friday the 13th, and Nightmare Before Christmas.
My responsibility was to create a budget and a building plan based on the concept art created by our artists, to present to the Association for Campus Entertainment.
The building plan consisted of the material needed, the link, cost, quantity, the use, and how to construct the material for use in the haunted house. For example, black plastic sheets were used to create separation of scenes to create small narrow ways and a maze.
Due to costs, the number of rooms was reduced to 1 and we needed to use the materials that the Association for Campus Entertainment had used in years past.
On the day of the event Hayden Gibson and I created a new design for room 218 in the Charger Union using the provided materials from the Association for Campus Entertainment.
The new story of the haunted house was that the students were walking through Dracula's castle, but with an odd twist. Dracula was obsessed with clowns. The layout of the room was broken into 3 different sections, with black plastic sheets hung from the ceiling to separate the 3 different scenes. The first scene was a long hallway of creepy clowns and candles. The second scene was Dracula's room and the last scene was the graveyard outside the castle. Scare actors were used during the event.
The Association for Campus Entertainment held a successful event where many students participated. A video of the event is attached.
